Growing up I’ve always been interested in all things beauty. During my visits to the hair salon I would carefully observe how the stylist was cutting my hair. I would soak up every ounce of time I had in that beauty chair, carefully observing how the stylists were cutting, coloring, and curling, it was all so fascinating to me. I would take what I learned at the salon and practice on my brave and willing friends. And the cycle continued: observe the pros, practice on my friends and family; Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

After graduating high school I enrolled in a popular beauty school near my hometown. I worked my butt off and graduated the following year. The moment I had been dreaming of for years was finally here, I was ready to get behind the chair in an upscale salon and work with real clients. 

I take pride in helping women become their most beautiful and confident selves. My goal is to make sure each and every woman I work with not only looks, but feels like a million bucks when they leave my chair. Throughout the years of talking with clients and doing my own research, I realized that there is nothing more gracious and luxurious than a salon blowout. One of the most coveted services in the industry, women all over the world are doing everything to try and duplicate their salon blowout at home. I’ve given countless clients all of the tips and tricks I can think of, but nothing seems to have that ‘just-left-the-salon’ feel to it.

Over the years I’ve experimented with many different tools to give hair volume. I have long, fine, curly hair, and I’m constantly trying to get it smooth and full. Having full hair makes me feel glamorous! I’ve also experimented with many different brushes and learned more about hair than I could’ve ever imagined. One thing I learned super quickly, is that hair stretches like a rubber band when it’s wet, and if you pull on it or use a hard nylon bristle brush, your hair can break and cause major damage. 

After much trial and error, I learned about boar bristle brushes, which are much more gentle and smoother on the hair. Now, I don't use anything other than boar bristle brushes when blow drying hair. But there’s one caveat, using these brushes to ‘set’ hair for volume is a difficult technique to do yourself and that’s when I had my light bulb moment. I needed to develop an easy-to-use tool for the every-day woman to create a smooth voluminous look at home! I was thrilled to dive in and begin developing my new tool. I had my husband sketch up my idea, and immediately reached out to an engineer. Shortly after, I had my first working prototype: The Original ClassiCurl® Roller 

Once the ball got rolling, I was ready to hustle. I worked all day at the hair salon refining The ClassiCurl Roller and all night at home developing a website and packaging. For the first time, I felt like I was really making an impact in the hair care industry. My family immigrated to the US from Italy in the early 1900’s and worked hard to give me and my siblings a fulfilled life. From a very young age they instilled in us a strong work ethic, they made it clear that we could accomplish anything we put our minds to. My uncle was a serial entrepreneur and, as a young child, I was always intrigued by his accomplishments and his courage.  I’ve always wanted to create the life of my dreams and to be in control of my destiny, and with the The Original ClassiCurl® Roller, I feel like I'm in the driver's seat of my life.  All of the sudden, what was once a mere interest in creating and experimenting became something with real potential. My goal is to unlock the potential behind The Original ClassiCurl Roller and build a brand that complements women’s needs.

I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn’t for others who have inspired me along the way. I hope to inspire anyone else also looking to live a fulfilling life. I’m prepared to help every woman feel confident and glamorous with The Original ClassiCurl Roller.
